The hotel is 8/10 for its beauty, great staff, and welcoming owner, with an ideal seaside location. The restaurant is good (though the selection is very limited) and the massage with waves in the background is top; prices are reasonable. It’s a great spot to watch the sunset and only 10 minutes by car from the boat launch to see dolphins. I think the hotel is a bit far from the center, so you won’t have many dining options nearby. Besides the dolphin tours, Lovina offers little else. Personally I’m delighted with my stay in Lovina for the dolphin visit, but one night is plenty. The beach and sea are littered with floating plastic and other debris, so it’s not an ideal tourist spot for enjoying the sea. The restaurant’s menu is very limited, breakfast is decent but basic, my daughter chose the cereal option because she likes sweet breakfasts and only received 30 g of cereal. There’s just a thin veil of curtains, so you’re awakened by the first rays of sun. The room I had was closest to the road, and even though it’s only 70 m away it’s still very noisy due to heavy traffic. I advise asking for a room not on the street side. The hotel is good, great value for money, but Lovina isn’t a place I’d recommend staying more than one night if you’re exploring Bali.
