“Very comfortable and we could rest well after our travels. Its near to many or all main stations”
The room was spotless, everything worked well, and the toilet was especially clean.

Located a 10‑minute walk from Akihabara Electric Town, Tokyo Ueno Youth Hostel offers simple private rooms with en‑suite bathrooms, free Wi‑Fi, and on‑site coin‑launderette. Steps from Yushima Subway (1 min) and JR Okachimachi (5 min), it provides a shared lounge with flat‑screen TV, a free kitchen equipped with fridge, microwave and kettle, and easy access to Ueno Park, Ameyoko Shopping Street, and both Narita and Haneda airports.

The room, though compact as is typical in Japan, is super functional, well‑utilized, and impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at all times; it’s the perfect spot to rest comfortably after intense walking days around the city, so I recommend it 100%! On the downside, the space didn’t feel very cozy, the environment was quite cold and lacked that welcoming touch, and most importantly the beds were uncomfortable—after a full day of walking and exploring, you need a good rest, and unfortunately the bed didn’t deliver.

The location is great and it has the basics for a couple of days, but the room was too small for four people.

The public area has a kitchen you can use, and you can buy groceries at the hotel to cook.

The location and the value for money make this the second time I’ve stayed at this accommodation in Tokyo.
