The room was comfortable and the continental breakfast was basic but fine.

This inn, steeped in 14th‑century history, has its quirks, but that’s a big part of its charm; the coziness and overall atmosphere were great, and the updates have made it more practical while keeping its character. The only downside is that it shuts down between lunch and dinner—though that’s not a big deal, or I probably wouldn’t have done much else.
