“Gemütliches Hotel mit Bergblick und Saunabereich”

The staff were friendly, the mountain view was stunning, and the dining room was cozy. The sauna area with the pool came with bathrobes and large towels, and you could have everything delivered to your room. It was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The detailed booklet with bullet points on a variety of topics shows how much they value hospitality. The food was solid, but both the breakfast and dinner could use a modern touch in terms of menu variety and plating.

The gas rooms feel historic in the best way and are cozy. The outdoor area is spacious and generous, featuring a nice lounge and play field plus a little bar in the stream that runs through the garden. The location is central, and thanks to the back garden door you’re in the city center in 5 minutes and at the Zugspitze station in 10 minutes, so you could comfortably stay 2‑3 weeks here. Even though you’re not coming to Grainau to watch TV, the room TV should still be able to display the main SAT channels and all relevant regional programs. Compared to the roomy room, our bathroom was a bit tighter and had too few storage options.

The wellness area, including the pool and the garden, is nice. The rooms feel worn out.
