The rooms are gorgeously designed with a sympathetic and creative style that keeps the building’s character. I didn’t use the shared areas much, but the kitchen was well equipped and the terrace was nice. The side street location keeps the place very quiet, so I slept superbly. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a massive bed and nice bedding, plus a great rainfall shower. Staff responded fast and friendly. The only flaw was that, for such a well‑equipped room, there were no hooks or places to hang towels and jackets, and I’m not sure if my room was supposed to be serviced during my stay, but it wasn’t.

“A great central apartment but you need to be fit due to the spiral stairs”

The hotel sits in a very good spot in the Medina, right in the heart of Essaouira, but tucked behind an alley, so it’s very quiet at night and offers a great 360‑degree view from the terrace. The only issue was that the upper terrace seemed a bit neglected; all the planters were dead or empty, and the balustrade didn’t go all the way around, which my friend felt unsafe.

The room is spacious and very quiet. Arrival and departure are autonomous with a key box. There’s a small terrace on the floor with a shared kitchen. The stairs are very steep.

“2 notti a Essaouira”

The location was great, and the bathroom looked very nice. The stairs to the room were steep, there was no air conditioning, and there were bird droppings on the floor—probably because they leave the window open and birds get in. It’s okay but requires a bit of adaptation.

“Joli décor, emplacement idéal et calme”

The spot was perfect for enjoying the medina, quiet, and the staff replied quickly to messages if there was a problem. We struggled to find the entrance; the number isn’t very visible and there’s no name on the door. It’s a shame there was no housekeeping all week.
