“Dårligt - godt det ikke var et gavekort vi havde foræret væk!!!!!”

Finding it was difficult—well, we had a roof over our heads. We booked a room we thought would be at Gram Slot, but it turned out not to be. It was a dirty place down in the town. The toilet was messy and some power didn’t work properly. The sofa and armchairs could have taken a beating—they were just left there. Breakfast was mediocre: cold coffee and water for tea. There was only beef spread—fine if you can tolerate it! The buns were very dry. I took a slice of rye bread that was the end crust, then another that was also the end crust.

“Personalet var I top klasse..”

The restaurant, shop, and reception were all conveniently located for us, but staying in the governor's house on room IV B left us with a left‑hand window that couldn't close because it was crooked; I reported it. There's also no hook to keep the TV room window open, and a new sign should be added so people can see the reception and restaurant instead of just the one by the main road—people get lost at night.

The food was good, yet the room was dirty, had no hot water, and the cleaning arrived in the morning and supposedly had to tidy up.

“Levede ikke op til forventningerne”

I can’t understand how this property earned four stars; the photos and upscale rooms shown online bear no resemblance to the castle‑like atmosphere you get when you actually book. The guest apartments are about a seven‑minute walk from the historic buildings and, in my view, fall far short of four‑star standards—more like two stars. It should be made much clearer at booking that you’re not staying inside the castle itself, because we were quite disappointed by the gap between expectation and reality.
