Kingfisher Beach Resort-Yala Safari

Words can’t capture how amazing this trip was. Sheshan was the best host, detail‑oriented, and had everything set up for us, even the taxis. At the Safari he arranged everything in advance so we skipped the line, which mattered a lot. The room was adorable, and our dinner was absolutely fantastic – I expected a basic lunch and breakfast for the Safari, but it was like a meal a dad would make for you, mind‑blowing. They even set a table cloth for lunch and we were the only table with one. We had a whole curry meal. I can’t praise this place enough; I was sad to leave. Nothing else to complain about.

“Very comfortable stay with an excellent level of service.”

The room was comfortable, cool, and clean, complete with a mini fridge and kettle. The property’s proximity to the beach made walking there a breeze, and the beach itself was lovely and tidy. Shahan, the host, went above and beyond to keep us comfortable, offering a level of service and attention to detail that outshone many 5‑star hotels. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide selection. Shahan also guided us on a safari to Yala, where he proved to be an excellent host and spotter, showing deep knowledge of the area and wildlife. Nothing else to note.

“Absolute Empfehlung”

We spent two wonderful days at this place and are still thrilled. The room was super clean and well‑maintained, making us feel instantly at ease. The air conditioning, Wi‑Fi, and shower worked flawlessly, everything was in top shape. Breakfast was simply fantastic and very generous, giving us a great start to the day. Another plus: a beach that’s almost deserted and dreamy is just a two‑minute walk away, perfect for relaxing. A huge thank you to Shehan – his hospitality is outstanding. He was incredibly caring yet never intrusive, and his knowledge of local wildlife impressed us greatly. He even took the time to go fishing with us, an unforgettable experience. The dinner was honestly the best we’ve ever had in Sri Lanka, cooked with so much love and skill. We wish Shehan all the best with his new project. If you’re looking for a place with heart, soul, and genuine Sri‑Lankan feel, this is it. We’ll definitely come back!
