The place was super nice; the parking was cleared of snow and there was plenty of space.

We were impressed by what the owner, a “solo fighter,” managed: a friendly reception, help from a porter with luggage, impeccable room and bathroom cleanliness, attentive breakfast service, perfectly snow‑free parking by the maintenance man, useful excursion tips, and pleasant conversations. The location is unique: great view and complete silence. The mattresses were extremely comfortable (rarely do I get back pain in hotel beds). The rooms are cozy, freshly renovated, and the heating is very good. We always left breakfast full; the fresh rolls were daily from the bakery. However, €5 doesn’t allow for many options, so a slightly more generous offer might bring more variety.

The Berghof is in a quiet spot, we slept very well there. The owner of the pension is very likable and always asks if there are further wishes to be fulfilled. We felt very comfortable there. Everything was great.

The host was very friendly and we had a great conversation with him; he gave us solid tips for excursions. Breakfast was good and completely sufficient. The inn itself is a bit remote, but that lets you enjoy nature and take nice trips from there. We were mainly there to visit the Christmas markets in the Erzgebirge. We have nothing negative to add.
