The location was excellent, close to Kyoto Station, many buses, supermarkets, and konbinis just a few minutes away. The bathroom sink didn’t drain well, and I don’t think the room was cleaned properly; I found a packet of pills and a single pill from previous guests near the bed. The hallways stayed smelly throughout our stay, and the upstairs neighbors’ footsteps woke me every morning, so sound insulation was poor. There’s no reception or staff on site, so be prepared to handle your luggage yourself.

The staff were quick to respond—reached out via the booking messenger—to fix a few minor issues on the first day. The situation in Kyoto was fine. Nothing else to add.

I could wash my clothes, but drying was impossible and opening the curtains revealed a wall of gray bricks right in front of the bay window – a terrible surprise.

Nothing good, everything bad. The place was filthy and disgusting; the photos were a lie and the ratings were misleading.
