“Great people/comfortable stay. Bring your own food/drink with you if you arrive after breakfast.”

Breakfast was great, and the family that runs the place is lovely. It sits in a tiny logging village right next to a more lively village. The family will drive you into that village so you can dine at the awesome restaurant they partner with. If you want peace and quiet, this is a solid choice, though they could keep some food on hand for tired travelers because nothing is within walking distance.

“Ein sehr schöner Haltepunkt für unsere Rennsteigwanderung.”

The hosts were very friendly and cooked us a fantastic dinner. We could adjust breakfast times to our liking. The location right on the Rennsteig was a big plus, but it also meant the hotel is on a main road with a lot of truck traffic.
