“Amazing people, place and food.”
Binu and Leyha’s hospitality was outstanding; they went out of their way to make us feel at home, cooked amazing meals, and served deliciously spiced tea and coffee in the morning and afternoon. It was the best food we ate during our two‑month trip in Karnataka/Kerala, and we had almost every meal with them, catering to my picky travel buddy. The room is fantastic, especially the balcony with jungle views where we saw more animals than at the Periyar Reserve and spent hours relaxing. Binu loved wildlife and would come find us whenever he spotted something interesting. He was also fascinating to talk about yoga, Ayurveda, and spiritual practice; he’s a genuinely kind soul. We booked two nights but stayed seven. The local area is great to walk around, people are friendly, and there are many small shops for tea, ice cream, and Binu was happy to drive us into town, to the spice farm, or to the national park—he even insisted on it. There are a couple of viewpoints to walk to as well. They had four lovely cats and six kittens during our stay, which we cuddled regularly! Staying here, eating nutritious home‑cooked food, and being in nature was a genuine highlight of our travels in Kerala! Nothing else to complain about.
