The hotel sits just a short walk from the beach and the town center. The room, however, did not match the photos or description; the bathroom had a broken vacuum and no window, and the vacuum was stopped and covered in dust. The “courtyard view and private space” turned out to be an internal hotel area with two shared chairs for four rooms, and there were hair on the bed.

The location near the beach is great and the place is clean and pleasant. The shower tiles need better sealing; I mentioned it at reception.

The hotel is well positioned in Houlgate and the room was very comfortable. The staff were lovely and always helpful. We stayed in 2024 and already plan to return. The location, while close to the sea and shops, means you can hear traffic (though it’s still mild). The bathroom could use a renovation.

The hotel sits nicely in central Houlgate, with parking just a stone’s throw away. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, especially the excellent croissants. The mattress felt a little soft.
