Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and a shared kitchen where we could cook; we booked a 5‑person room, it was very spacious and the heating was plenty. The train station is a short walk away, just a bit farther than usual.

I stayed alone in a room with four beds, so it was a great deal, especially since breakfast is included! The hostel’s breakfast is carefully prepared with local ingredients, and you can look out over the river. The room was clean and tidy; the only downside was that the bathroom wasn’t separated into dry and wet areas, but that’s fine for a hostel. There’s a pool table where I met two Italians and had a fun night, a small bar for a beer, and a sauna that lets you jump straight into the river—though it’s not worth it if you’re solo, so I didn’t use it. The hostel is about a 10‑minute walk to the bus stop; if you have heavy luggage, you can call Voss Taxi for about 5‑600 TWD, but if it’s not raining it’s not too tiring to walk.

Nice hostel vibe, very convenient and well‑located. A better bar would be nice.

We had a view of the water and it was amazing. The staff were really sweet, helpful, and considerate. Breakfast was fine with several organic items, which we appreciated. The room felt a bit worn down.

Best hostel ever!!! We were thrilled to have our own private bathroom. Loved the library and the breakfast spread. Our view was amazing—we looked right over the lake. It’s close to the bicycle rental spot. The staff were wonderful, and fresh flowers added a nice touch! It’s a bit far from other attractions, but that’s okay.
