The good host made the difference.

The host was especially friendly, accommodating, and helpful; we could check in early and check out late. The room was very large and clean, and even though it was winter and outside was freezing, the room stayed comfortably warm. The mattress was not very comfortable and the spring could be felt. No shampoo or shower gel was provided, only the soap at the sink. There was only one bath towel and no hand towel per person. These are just details; you can still feel comfortable in the room without them.
