Home Living Unit

“إقامة جميلة ومريحة، والمكان نظيف وهادئ، وسأعود إليه بالتأكيد.”

I loved my stay at Home Living Unit in Gali—it was very clean, comfortable, and tidy, with a calm atmosphere perfect for relaxing. I also appreciated the gracious host’s attentive care and concern for our comfort. The location was convenient and close to key spots in Gali. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I felt at home, so I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Sri Lanka. The only real complaint was that there weren’t many comfort options, but otherwise the stay was comfortable and the experience delightful.

I stayed in room 105, which actually had a tiny kitchen, almost like a suite. The kitchen door opened onto a shared balcony, and we spent most of our nights there. The room itself was spotless, far better than I expected. From the kitchen window you could see a wall full of purple flowers—probably bougainvillea—and the view was fantastic. The front desk guy was always smiling and ready to help. We stayed on the balcony playing on our phones until about 2–3 am, and he joined us, which worried me because he’d have to wait for us to return before he could finish his shift. Once we confirmed it wouldn’t affect his work, we felt at ease. He was really, really nice, always with a smile. The only gripe was that the location was a bit hard to find, but that’s a minor nitpick; once inside, it’s the perfect balance of noise and quiet.
