Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately they shut the restaurant down three weeks ago, likely because not enough people used it. Nearby eating options are limited—the Indian restaurant next door is closed on Tuesdays—so you have to go to Maldon High Street for an evening meal.

The staff were always lovely. The bathroom felt too small, and the room itself was very tiny.

Breakfast was tasty, but we had to pay extra for juice. The room was fully equipped yet cramped, and there were no biscuits left for us. Our waitress Chaire was delightful. We were not informed that the hotel only served breakfast until check‑in, which would have changed our decision to book. The Indian restaurant next door served awful food, and the pub across the road also didn’t serve meals. The neighborhood feels a bit run down.
