“Maravilloso”
The facilities were good. It would be very helpful to have a guide or map for public transport (train or bus station).

The apartment was spacious, close to the train station and not far from the beach, in a beautiful 18th‑century building that had been tastefully renovated with all the comforts we wanted. Above all, the welcome was warm and our hosts, Antonino and Maria Chiara, were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was perfect, and the common areas were well equipped. The terrace let us enjoy the sunsets. What we liked about Meta was its calm, family‑friendly atmosphere; we mostly mingled with Italians, which felt like a local immersion. A big thank you to our hosts for all the information that helped us enjoy the best local culinary specialties. Nothing negative, except maybe the need to leave.

The location was far from Sorrento, which would have been fine if a taxi were available, but no taxi came to pick us up. Buses were packed, so we had to take a train. There were no shops, restaurants, or anything within a 10‑minute walk. There was no sign on the front door, so we couldn’t find the place on a deserted street. There was no elevator, so we had to climb three flights of stairs. The steps were not lit at night, so we couldn’t see where we were going. The shower in our room was not the one shown multiple times on the site; it was half a bathtub with a broken shower curtain. The air conditioner in the bathroom didn’t work and the bathroom drawer was falling apart. The air conditioner in our room was not working properly, and the room was too small for more than two people, even though we had four.
