The value for money was excellent for a two‑star place. Our room was spacious, quiet, and very clean. The bathroom had a window, which let in good air and helped the towels dry properly. We were provided complimentary water bottles, a kettle, tea, and coffee. The staff were also very friendly.

When I arrived, the staff greeted me very warmly. The room was spacious, comfortable, and tidy, with a large, comfortable bed and an air‑conditioner that worked perfectly. The shower had good water pressure, and there was a safe. The hotel is a 5‑minute walk from Kota Kinabalu city centre, another 5 minutes to the waterfront, and about 20 minutes to the island‑ferry pier. Nearby, there are restaurants, supermarkets, and a reasonably priced self‑service laundromat. My room faced the main road, so the street noise was loud and I had to use earplugs. At night the surrounding streets are a bit dim. I think it might be a bit pricey compared with other options in the city. Overall, the experience was good.

The room was very small, and the air‑conditioning leaked into the room, so we had to push the beds to keep the bedding dry. Even after we reported the issue, it was not fixed and no alternative room was offered. We had to pay 10 Myr for two extra pillows; it wasn’t worth the money, but it was a matter of principle.
