The lodge sits amid lush gardens, and the communal spaces are roomy, cozy, and styled with a chic African flair. Everyone on the staff was warm and friendly, and the beds felt very comfortable. The rooms are on a high terrace with mountain views. The showers were warm, not hot, which might have been a personal preference. The food was a real highlight, with a small buffet offering a variety of tasty dishes. It’s a bit out of town, but that didn’t bother us. The Wi‑Fi was spotty.
