“Würde ich nicht mehr buchen..”
I booked the Waibstädter Hof but ended up in the Gästehaus, and the reception was empty. The breakfast was only available from 6.30 am to 8.30 am, which I found hard to believe.
“Angenehmer geschäftlicher Aufenthalt”
The facilities were good and some rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast started as early as 6:30 am, which is useful for working people. My room faced the beer garden and stayed quite loud until late, which was annoying when it was hot; you could close the window otherwise. The building is old and heats up quickly, which is a problem in July, but the owners seem aware and put a fan in every room, which helped. Some staff members speak very briefly and could be friendlier, but everything else was correct, so this criticism shouldn't be overblown.
The food was wonderful and the staff very friendly. The rooms have mosquito nets that are too tight, which traps heat and keeps the room barely below 30 °C, making it a NoGo.
The location is central and the restaurant is outstanding. The self‑locking fire‑safety door was kept open with a wedge.
Good value for money.
