“Nice place to stay, quiet outside of Livingston, with lovely people who work there”

The area was nice and the rooms were clean; the staff are passionate about their job and help you a lot, but the way to get there is outside of Livingston, so if you want to go there you have to take a tuk‑tuk (we knew this since we arrived on Livingston), and there is pollution on the surrounding beaches, but if you don’t mind that, it is a nice place.

“A wonderful jungle retreat by the sea.”

If you want to stay by the jungle and the beach with amazing views and nature all around, this is the place; beautiful sea birds and the feeling of having a special bit of the beach all to yourself, plus lovely breakfasts. You need to take a tuk‑tuk from town to reach the rope bridge before walking along the beach to get to the hotel, but that’s also one of the great experiences—exciting night or day.

“A pasos de 7 altares”

The food they sold was tasty and the people were very friendly, but there was only cold water and Wi‑Fi only at reception, and the beach was unfortunately quite dirty and hard to swim in; however, about 20 minutes away was a beautiful natural reserve of pools.

“Très bon séjour, bon rapport qualité prix !”

The spot feels almost magical; it’s a bit off‑center, but that’s exactly the main perk. The staff are friendly, and the waterfalls are a short hop away. The restaurant is decent, but you’ll need a tuk‑tuk to get to the town or back to the hotel because the beach edge isn’t always passable and can be pretty dirty.
