I ate breakfast and there was plenty to choose from, but the rooms were noisy, the simple ones were at the front door where nobody could open and close them quietly, so I didn't sleep much.

The location was very quiet, but it was far outside the centre of Marburg.

The room was clean and nice, except for a “little thing” that kept me from sleeping well: the blinds were broken, so there was a lot of light from the street lamp all night. The house also looks poorly maintained from the outside, unlike the hotel on the opposite street. We weren’t even sure we were at the right place; it looks like it needs a facelift, but inside most things are almost fine. The price is already quite high for being far from the city center. Parking is a bit awkward – you have to park on the street because all the parking spots are taken in the evenings. Overall it’s OKAY! The coffee sign in the room says it’s free, but when you ask at reception they say it’s “actually only for hotel guests, not the house.” At least we still got coffee.

The staff is very friendly. The sound insulation is terrible; I couldn’t sleep all night because I could hear every word from other guests. Plus, people were moving around all night (there was a wedding) and slamming doors so loudly it felt like the building could collapse at any moment. It felt like all that was happening right in my room! I couldn’t sleep at all. The transport links are awful – the bus runs only once an hour, and even then it doesn’t always show up! To get to Marburg the next day took me 3 hours! If you don’t have a car, you should seriously consider this point, as you might not arrive on time.
