Thamel Hotel Park sits right in the heart of Thamel. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sachin, who helped me organize the rest of my trip in Nepal. Thanks to him I arranged a car rental and got great itinerary tips, making the overall experience pleasant. The bed sheets were dirty, the towels looked old and worn, and the bathroom cleanliness was questionable.

After arriving late at night in Kathmandu I left my suitcase for three nights, then dropped it off again for a one‑night stay in Nagarkot before checking back into Kathmandu; the hotel replied quickly when I called ahead, which made me feel reassured. The air‑conditioner remote was a bit underwhelming and the breakfast buffet never changed.
