“Good location for University and city centre.”

The location and the retro twentieth‑century charm were comfortable and appealing, and the coffee lounge was a nice alternative to the in‑room facilities. The lift from the upper floors had a bit of a wait, but it wasn’t too bad.

“Excellent”

The location was perfect, just two steps from Stenpiren where you can catch a ferry to the islands or any public transport, and a 7‑minute walk to the city centre. I loved the breakfast, the staff, the view of the river, and the fresh air; we could even open a window in the room for ventilation, which was essential for me to sleep with fresh air. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, even when we arrived at 9 o’clock in the morning and asked to leave luggage because the room wasn’t ready; they let us keep it, which was a huge help after an early flight so we could nap and rest before heading into the city.

If you want a decent central stay with a fairly okay breakfast, this is the place. I would book it every week. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent; I’m very happy with it. If you demand everything to be “top notch” and are willing to pay for it, choose another hotel. I liked almost everything, but the elevator was a little uncomfortably slow, so I took the stairs instead.
