The spot is fantastic, just a 15‑minute walk to all the sights. The AC actually cools, and there’s a free washing machine, though the room is tight for drying clothes – we brought a clothesline so that wasn’t a problem. We had a bit of trouble locating it the first day, but once we found it it was super convenient for all our trips.

Everything was fine – the room was spacious and spotless, the environment totally quiet, and the staff very helpful. The hotel sits on the 20th floor of a building that houses many businesses; the only entrance I used is on Bayi Road, at the corner with Zourong Road (see Bayi Road No.65 Yuzhong, Chongqing, China on Amap). Tourist sights are close by, with the People’s Liberation Monument just around the corner and two metro stations (Jiaochangkou and Xiaoshizi) nearby. I highly recommend it, though it would have been nice if the free washing machine also had a dryer.

The location is spot‑on and there are plenty of food options, just a 5‑minute walk to the subway. However, finding the hotel is a nightmare – there are literally no signs. The bed sits on a platform, making it hard for older folks to get in and out. Even though we booked a non‑smoking room, smoke seeped in through the air‑handling unit. Side tables and a brighter corridor would make a difference.
