The hotel was recently taken over, and the new owners’ personal approach is heartwarming; they do everything to make guests comfortable. There’s a cozy lounge downstairs with seating and board games, and a cigar/whiskey lounge that can be booked with staff assistance—quite a unique concept! The downside is that if you’re taller than 1.85 m, the apartment on the first floor is too low.

It was okay for one night. The bed was cozy and the windows insulated well against street noise. The greeting was very lacking; we were barely looked at, seemed bored, and had to ask where the room was. The room doors were loose and clattered whenever someone opened them in the hallway. Bathroom fixtures were loose or damaged, and the pillow smelled like cheese feet. Breakfast was overpriced; it looked nicely decorated but the quality was cheap, so the nearby bakery was a better choice. Check‑out was the same as check‑in: we were barely noticed, no questions were asked, just the cash‑out mattered.

We received an upgrade to an apartment (we had booked a double room), the hosts were friendly, and we could even check in early. The only suggestion is possibly adding a roof cover for motorcycles.

Location, lobby, bar area all very pretty and cozily arranged. Staff friendly. The price‑to‑value ratio is lacking. The pictures of the booked room gave the impression that we would also receive a modernised room, but that wasn’t the case. On our Gorge Trail hike it was the most expensive room; others cost about half and were not so simple and dated. I can imagine that everything will be renovated or improved gradually. We would have liked to have breakfast, but 8 am was unfortunately too late for us hikers. Maybe an alternative Vesper package could be offered. We cannot judge whether the 17 € price for breakfast is worth it.

The hotel is absolutely amazing! ❤️ Everything here is truly top‑level. I especially want to highlight the private owners—they’re very pleasant, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel not just a guest but a wanted one. The interior is incredibly stylish, everywhere clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s clear everything was done with love and attention to detail. The atmosphere is very pleasant and warm. I definitely recommend this hotel! If we ever visit this region again, we’ll definitely come back. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay! 🌿
