The place was quiet, but it felt more like a student flat. The bedding was mismatched, towels were old and thin, and the amenities were basic for a €83 3‑star room in mid‑October 2024. The location isn’t great either – it’s on the far end of the tourist area up a hill, and you have to climb stairs to the reception, then stairs to the rooms, and then stairs to your actual room.

I stayed very close to the centre and the parking was great, but the bed felt too firm.

The location was almost in the centre and the rooms were large and clean, in a restored old house with a garage for parking, but I couldn’t get the kitchen to work.

The property sits inside the walls and near the centre, in a renovated historic building with steep original stairs and no lift, so my room on the second floor was small and had scuffs on the ceiling and in the bathroom; the cleaning was excellent. Breakfast wasn’t offered, and a water heater in the room came with two coffee sachets, tea, and two individually wrapped biscuits. The mattress was extremely hard and covered with a protective pad that made a plastic squeak when sat on; the pillows were one just right in height and the other too tall. I’d suggest a bed change.
