Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral, sodass man vieles gut zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, besonders die sehr gut ausgestattete Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man Kaffee kochen kann; der Wasserdruck in der Dusche könnte besser sein, aber bei solch einem geschichtsträchtigen Haus ist das nicht anders zu erwarten, da die Leitungen älter sind.

Cute little Hotel with a history. There was even a plaque on the wall that dates the property back to the 1800’s; the rooms are very small… I would say OK for one person, but two could get a little crowded. Only one queen bed and no real accommodations of a desk, closet, etc. Parking is insane – there’s a garage across the street but you don’t have access to your car between 11 PM and 7 AM. We needed to leave very early in the morning for the airport so we could not park there. However, the room was immaculately clean, and the bed and bathroom were comfortable and modern.

Very quick and helpful responses from calling the number upon arriving and later upon leaving my one night stay. 15 minutes before check out I called to request the purchase of a new umbrella and they were very quick to facilitate. The room and bath were very clean and the bed, especially the pillows were very comfortable. Room overhead was very loud and there was a lot of heavy thumping happening. Management did express a “quiet time” range and was open about being an old building with not good soundproofing. That’s why my overall score was the seven

The location couldn’t be better! The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and arranging an early check‑in was easy. The AC in the room worked great. I stayed in one of the basement rooms (#3) and immediately noticed a damp, moldy smell, though I didn’t see any visible mold. My belongings and bedding felt damp after a day. I suspect the basement location and proximity to the canal are the cause; upper‑floor rooms might be fine. The common areas didn’t share that odor. The TV didn’t offer most of the channels listed in the guide provided in the room. The bathroom had no counter space.
