The Haveli was lovely, run by a family who welcomed us warmly. The spot was perfect: just below the palace, a few minutes on foot, with a splendid view of the palace from the rooms, the restaurant, and the rooftop terrace. The homemade food was excellent and prepared on request. Nothing to add.
Everything: the setting, the quiet, the view of the fort and lake, the rooftop restaurant, the big room … all great. The last‑minute attempt to charge us for unannounced taxes (including on the room) was a real mishap that spoiled the charm.
I loved the staycation – it felt like home and was absolutely amazing 😍
The sink was spacious and added a lot of comfort. We were close to the lighthouse monument, shops, and the view was nice. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, well maintained, and large. The room could use some improvements – there’s nothing to hang clothes or towels, and the kettle isn’t very convenient.
