Nothing. I booked a two‑night stay at Rb Hostel through a link, and the experience was awful. When I arrived, the room was in a terrible state: the bed was unmade, towels were scattered everywhere, the place was filthy and smelled awful. I took pictures and sent them to the owner, who brushed off my concerns, saying the cleaner “forgot to straighten the bed.” It was nearly 11:30 pm, and with no other options, I had to accept the dirty room, slept a few hours, and left at 6 am. When I asked for a refund, the owner was unhelpful and rude. I still haven’t received my money or even an apology. If you’re thinking about staying here, think twice! The shared bathrooms add to the discomfort, and you’ll make a huge mistake if you value cleanliness and a restful environment. I have pictures proving the room’s condition and strongly advise against staying here.

The location was great—just one street from the lively center, with a view of a windmill from the bedroom. The room matched the photos, but in reality it was much less modern/comfortable than I’d expected. Everything was crooked, which triggered my vestibular migraine. As soon as I entered the building I felt it, and the floor in the room was wavy. There was also a little mold in the bathroom. The room had a small stove but no tap or sink, making it inconvenient for cooking.

“Chambre qui fait le boulot”

The hotel is in a central square, booking and checkout are easy—just take and return a key in the key box. The room is relatively comfortable and has the basic amenities (fridge, TV, shower, etc.). The sheets and towels are clean. The stairs are narrow, and the shared kitchen isn’t convenient. There are 14 rooms in the building but only a small kitchen, which creates noise and odors throughout. Parking spots in front of the hotel are insufficient, and the adjacent streets are quite busy, so you have to park far away. The room is in better condition than the rest of the building but shows signs of wear: the toilet tank moves, the shower is a bit yellowed. Some room fittings look a bit “hand‑made.”

“Niet voor herhaling vatbaar!”

The bed was decent, but the building felt very old and the room was gloomy, with a basic bathroom that had several faults. An air‑con hose was hanging out of the window, and both the room and bathroom urgently need renovation and a fresh coat. The TV worked, yet it wasn’t connected to a digibox, so we couldn’t watch anything, and the room price seemed too high for what we received.
