The staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s next to the Pacific Ocean, and if you want to learn to surf it’s only a five‑minute walk. If you’re after nightlife, this isn’t the place. The locals are super friendly.

The hotel's pool area is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, the location is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, I was really disappointed to see a few crabs struggling in the overflow from the pool - it was clear they were trying to get back to the water but couldn't quite make it. It would be a simple fix to glue some rocks to the far wall so they could climb back down safely.
