The location was good, but everything felt very old; the room was okay, yet nothing looked pretty.

The shower had a nice spray, but the beds were a disaster, and the pillows were awful—I had to cover a pillow with a towel. The hotel felt abandoned, with no staff in sight, no restaurant, no breakfast, and no coffee.

The spot opposite the castle park was convenient, and I checked in without a key by using the lockbox. I ended up in the annex, which is a bit worn and shows signs of age—there are minor damages, a bit of mildew in the shower, and the wallpaper and tap pipes need updating. The mattress had a thick hollow that was very uncomfortable.

The location is simply gorgeous right next to a park, and it’s amazing that a place like Wolfsburg even has a hotel with apparently insufficient staff. The bed has lower limits, which can cause length issues—I just barely fit. The shower has decent water pressure and is pleasantly spacious. I’ve been here before in the summer, and now at the end of August it gets stuffy in the rooms, but opening the windows brings in mosquitoes, so the ventilation feels limited. A mosquito net in front of the windows would help keep the air circulating even in midsummer.

“Nie wieder”

I left half an hour after arrival. The toilet cistern was broken, the walls and ceilings were wet or damaged, there were spider webs, the floor wasn’t clean, and the walls and duvet were dirty. Reception was only reachable by phone.
