Hakuna Matata Lodge

The rooms look nice, but the service is very mediocre and slow; even when nothing was happening, drinks were forgotten and took forever to arrive. The food was average, and we ate much better in Rwanda.

“The property looks way better than the photos pictured, the staff is really kind, food is great.”

- We had 2 rooms, one that was downstairs with a terrace, then later got upgraded to an upper room overlooking the lake. - The food was amazing - The staff really took care of us and were really kind and accomodating - the property looks way better than the photos pictured here. - Wifi was slow downstairs - You need to anticipate the cooking time, since everything is homemade it can take a while. However the food was always worth the wait :)

Beautiful view of the lake and a nicely arranged garden. The restaurant prepares tasty meals and breakfast, but a small complaint is that breakfast was the same every day. The staff is very helpful. We booked accommodation and the booking page said the location was in the city. The real location is 6 km from the official site. When we arrived at the official location there was a different hotel. If our driver hadn’t contacted the lodge, it would have been very difficult and complicated to get to HM Lodge.
