The staff were friendly and very helpful, the food was tasty and plentiful, and the room was tidy, comfortable and clean, but because the hotel sits right by the sea the night‑time waves hit the wooden parts of the building, making it sway and feel a bit creaky.

The people were very kind, the vibe felt almost family‑like and it’s set in nature. The room isn’t cleaned unless you ask for it, and the surrounding area should be tidied up; there’s trash along the little beach in front of the bungalows. The meals were a bit limited and repetitive—if you stay more than four days you’ll want a menu change, as it’s always chicken or fish, white rice and very little fruit, and the food feels a little stingy.

This place is pretty run down, to be honest. The amenities are old and it shows in the maintenance - things just aren't in great shape. Not exactly the most inspiring stay, but I guess it's a budget option.

Raja Ampat, you've been amazing! Hamueco Dive Resort is honestly the highlight of my trip so far. Overwater bungalows that blend seamlessly into the stunning surroundings, super friendly and helpful staff, and the food? Absolutely delicious. Being surrounded by crystal-clear waters, lush jungle, and vibrant reefs makes for an unforgettable experience.
