The room itself was nice, but the manager held my deposit and I couldn't trust him; he smelled cigarettes coming from the room when we entered, accused us of smoking even though we were non‑smokers, and I will never stay there again.

The pokies next door were a highlight, but the experience was absolutely disgraceful. My partner and I stayed for several days and the staff treated us in a completely unacceptable way. On the day before we were due to check out, our room cards were suddenly deactivated for no reason. We had done nothing wrong, were not told of any issue with our booking, and were not warned that we needed to leave. We were simply locked out of our room while our personal belongings remained inside. When we went downstairs to ask what was happening, the staff were incredibly rude, dismissive, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Instead of explaining the situation or showing basic respect, they brushed us off. We had to leave and were forced to abandon some belongings. Imagine paying to stay somewhere and then being locked out of your own room before the agreed checkout time, with your belongings still inside. The entire situation was handled terribly. If there was an issue, the staff should have communicated it properly instead of treating paying guests like a problem and leaving them with no reasonable way to access their room. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I would not stay here again and would seriously think twice before recommending this place to anyone.
