Perfect for a quick sleep before work the next day and a good area. My main issue is that it isn’t clear before booking that there is NO ONE around at this hotel in the form of staff. Only after I had booked was this fact revealed, which feels like a concealment of the truth. Arriving after 10 pm as a female solo traveller, I value a hotel where there is a team of staff members and can contact someone overnight. The snug had a tiny window that wouldn’t open more than 2 cm (the roller blind blocked it).

It was functional. I was not happy about no person working there when we arrived and had problems checking in because my flight was delayed a day and they cancelled my booking even though I had contacted them and paid for all three nights a few weeks in advance.

Although there is no reception contact, everything was very clear and we had no problems. The room was spacious and had everything needed, we were about 12 min on foot from restaurants and supermarkets, and right in front of the hotel there is a bus stop. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, some sagged too much, and the shower regulator had no good middle setting.

“Great location, but needed staff on site.”

The location was excellent, within walking distance of good restaurants, the castle, and other sites. I do not like self‑service properties, especially when they do not advertise as such. My phone stopped working and there was no one to help. We could not even call a taxi. It was our first stop on our journey and it made it very stressful.
