“Hospitality, views, breakfast were outstanding!”

What a wonderful stay! We were absolutely blown away by the warm hospitality from Odette and her team. A special mention has to go to Nxosi, who makes the most sumptuous breakfasts, all so beautifully presented. Such care and attention goes into everything, and it really shows. Thank you to everyone at The Lazy Shark for making us feel so welcome — the hospitality was truly exceptional and made our stay all the more memorable. We would happily return! It would have been great if the driveway was not so steep; I wondered if my car would get up.lol, however, the views of the ocean were spectacular once you were at the top of the drive. We even got to see whales and dolphins.

We had such a wonderful stay! The room was beautiful, spacious and absolutely spotless, with the added bonus of having the opportunity to upgrade our room. The property itself is very secure, clean and well maintained. There’s so much to enjoy on the property, including a pool table, dart board, coffee bar and a lovely, comfortable lounging area. There’s also a pool, with towels provided, which made everything so convenient. Our host was honestly one of the highlights. She was incredibly sweet, welcoming and helpful, and made a point of being there to personally welcome us. You could really feel the care and effort she puts into making her guests feel comfortable. Breakfast is also available on request, which is a lovely touch. The accommodation even has a study/work area, making it ideal if you need to get some work done during your stay. And the sea view from our room was absolutely beautiful! Waking up to that view was definitely a highlight. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and felt right at home. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, secure and welcoming place to stay

“Lazy Shark may be the name… but this place is definitely the apex predator of local accommodation!”

Although it’s called Lazy Shark, this place really outshines the competition; the rooms—Whale Shark, Great White, Tiger, Hammerhead, and Raggy—carry a strong shark motif, yet the property itself is what truly impresses. It’s perfectly located, the housekeeping is impeccable, the staff are welcoming, and the amenities are top‑class. The entire place is spotless, with plenty of spots to relax, enjoy the stunning Indian Ocean view, or simply retreat to a quiet corner. The pool is especially tempting, and the rooms are spacious and supremely comfortable. The team—manager Odette, housekeepers Nxosi and Surprise, and Elliot—are the real stars, always friendly, attentive, and eager to help, clearly proud of providing a fantastic stay. I loved it so much that I stayed longer. The only downside is the driveway, which feels a little shark‑toothed and requires a bit of focus climbing up, but I see it as a security feature, and the short hike is worth it once you’re inside.
