The owner didn’t have the bookings under control; on the morning of arrival, a few hours before we were coming from Ercolano, we were told the place was overbooked but that they were trying; at arrival we had to wait longer for the owner, his mother who also lives there couldn’t help because she seemed overwhelmed; we had to find another hotel near Rome in almost 40 °C heat; Booking only helped by giving us a free cancellation and a small bonus if the new hotel was pricier, otherwise we had to handle it ourselves.
