Thirty minutes after checking in, a bug appeared in the bathroom and a knock on our door demanded an extra $20 for our service dog, which I had to fight back in the morning because Maine law forbids extra pet fees for service animals. Danielle helped me resolve it, but none of that should have happened in the first place. The bathroom was a dated avocado‑green tub with yellow tiled walls, and the bug made me refuse to undress or bathe there. I took pictures of everything before leaving to avoid any future charges. I had tried to cancel months earlier, but the policy said only a credit toward a future stay, which raised red flags right away. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

The bed felt comfy and the shower was just as good, all spotlessly clean. The only gripe was that there was only one outlet by the bed instead of having more on both sides.

“Exceeded expectations”

The room was very clean and tidy, and the recently updated bathroom was roomy with modern fixtures, making the bed very comfortable. The building’s exterior looked a bit shabby, which worried me at check‑in, but the room itself was nice.
