“Uncomfortable and not safe.”
Nothing was to be liked about this stay unfortunately. Everything was bad: 1. Uncomfortable staff and stay. 2. Wrong address and hotel name; we actually stayed in the Urban rest. There is no Shillong city hotel. They tried to coordinate after many calls, the correct location. 3. No basic amenities in the room, e.g., toilet paper or coffee. 4. Faking that they have a restaurant; they said they have lunch but it is only a juice point. 5. No security – we had early check‑out, but no one to attend. They locked us inside the gate, and our taxi was waiting outside. We were unable to leave and had to call up the owner to get us out. 6. Hard mattress; did not get sleep. 7. Slow running water in washroom; no good enough hot water. 8. They tried to keep our copy of documents. As per government guidelines, they should not store but only check ID.
