The proximity to the Hegyeshalom border was a plus, but the room was a tiny hole, there was no toilet in the room—only a shared one outside in the hallway, and the bathroom had no door so anyone could see you shower; the porter played his radio or TV so loudly at night that I had to leave to ask him to turn it down; we couldn’t wait for breakfast at 8 am and instead went to the nearby LIDL, paying HUF 23.500; at Motel Szelim in Tatabánya I could get a double room with a private bathroom for HUF 18.000.
