The owners were friendly and they added little touches like rusks and fresh milk; the outdoor seating area was lovely. However, the room was very small, the shower pressure was weak, and the shower door was a safety hazard.

The room was clean and small, and the staff were nice. The city centre and surf spots are a bit far, about a 10‑minute drive by car.

Renee and Steven were very friendly and welcoming, and they provided far more food than expected. When we arrived, Renee told us she had left a quiche for each of us for breakfast; when we asked if they were vegetarian, she said they weren’t, but replaced them with vegetarian versions before we returned from our excursion that day. We had everything we could need—soap, shampoo, towels, fresh coffee, cereal, and milk. It felt like the most at‑home experience we’ve had in a paid accommodation, just like visiting your mom. There was nothing to complain about, and the only thing we wish we could have done was stay a little longer.

It was a very beautiful and tiny escape from the noise, and the host was perfect—Rene’s welcome was something else; I’ve been to many places before and never had such amazing hosts. The views were breathtaking, and everything from salt to sugar was provided; even the bathroom had everything. I was shocked at how much a tiny place could hold. Breakfast consisted of two tiny cereal boxes each day and two nice homemade pies. I don’t dislike anything at all; just consider adding a light on top of the patio outside because the room itself is tiny (not a complaint). At least you can lounge outside.
