The place was modern and clean. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, clearly a skilled chef was behind it. The staff were always helpful and polite. The room was small and needed a fresh coat of paint; the bottom of the shower required new silicone. We paid over £400 a night and expected a better room. The cooked breakfast was excellent, but the self‑serve selection was poor. Many items were uncovered, the breads and bakery were hard and dry, and there was no yogurt on the second morning. The orange juice didn’t taste freshly squeezed; it seemed to come from a carton. The coffee was also underwhelming. Some of the serving staff were very young and probably needed more training, though they were all polite and courteous.
