The place is handy and modern, with a stunning view of the Kirkjufell, but the fire alarm went off twice because another guest was showering and cooking.

The fjord view from the cottages is fantastic, although the ten units are arranged in offset pairs so you end up looking either at the fjord from the bed or at the neighbour’s terrace; everything is there, but a bit more storage would have helped, as the suitcase either sits on the bed or blocks the way.

The view of the nature and the mountains across the fjord is exceptional, and the cottage’s exterior with its terrace is very pretty. Inside, however, it doesn’t live up to the outside: the hot water tank in the room is loud, the worn sofa falls apart, and the floor in the bungalow feels shaky.
