“Couple, overnight stop”
Beautiful house – very comfortable and well thought out. It sits in the centre opposite the abbey. Lovely host. Nothing negative.

The location is ideal if you’re visiting Tewkesbury, which we do from time to time. Once you’ve parked, everything is within walking distance. The hotel offers parking, but it’s not for the faint‑hearted driver; it’s around the back and a bit like a Rubik’s cube to fit in, but doable if you’re competent. This time we were on the top floor at the rear of the hotel, and the stairs were a bit steep for my hips, which aren’t great right now.

Every single thing about Jessop House exceeded our expectations. We knew it had high ratings, but as soon as our amazing host Joan welcomed us in and showed us around we realized what a gem of a place it was. Cleanliness, comfort, provision of everything we needed, plus a delicious breakfast were all provided with spectacular attention to detail. A truly exceptional place to stay. Thank you Joan for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. From Sue and Bruce, Australia xx

The room was clean and spacious. The location in town was good, with parking behind the hotel as a bonus. Breakfast was good. The bed mattress and pillows were not very comfy. Noisy abbey bells rang all night. Had to ring the doorbell three times before the front door opened on arrival.
