BnB Marina is a lovely property perched high on the hill with a gorgeous view over the bay and a communal terrace for a sundowner when it’s cooler. It’s very convenient, just a short walk—uphill, though—to the main street of Taormina and close to the funicular that takes you down to the beach. Martina was very helpful. Our flight into Catania was cancelled because of Etna spewing smoke, so we had to fly to Palermo. We swapped our bookings in Taormina and Palermo, and Martina accommodated us in a lovely big room. The BnB is in her beautiful home and she provided a delicious breakfast every morning and even drove us into town a few times. Note, the rooms are on the 5th floor, so there are steps to go up. However, there’s a novel way of getting your suitcases up so you don’t have to carry them up five flights of stairs. There was also parking for our car. We met some lovely people while staying there. Martina is very friendly and warm and nothing is too much trouble. We really appreciated all the assistance. We struggled a bit to find the BnB, only because the sign is very small and we missed it.

The balcony view is breathtaking, and the rooms and common area are tastefully decorated.
