“Exceptional Holiday Inn Express Branch in Lanzhou”

The room was spacious, the breakfast was good, and the location sits in a quieter part of town with far less traffic, making it easy to find; the building’s architecture is beautiful. However, the automatic WC in the room keeps lifting the seat every time I try to sit, so I have to force it down; the flush system feels a bit wired. Aside from that, everything else is fine.

The room itself is nice, but with 27 floors and only two working elevators, you’ll wait 6 to 8 minutes to go up or down.

“Good but a bit far from city Centre and site attractions”

The room was spotless, but the elevator situation was a nightmare - only one was working and it was always under maintenance. The dimly lit corridor to my room felt kinda creepy, and it would've been nice if they'd added some background music or brighter lighting. To make matters worse, no one told me that only one elevator was operational or when the maintenance would be finished.

“Prompt service”

I was really impressed with the room - it was comfy and the bed was great. The staff were super quick to sort out the air-conditioning issue, moving us to a new room within 15 minutes. However, breakfast was a letdown - the coffee was subpar and the tables were a mess, with cigarette butts and ash scattered around.
