The hotel sits right in the heart of Bath, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room met our needs. However, the value for money felt low, and the attention to detail was lacking – there were stains on the carpets, the bedroom sofa was worn, and the bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint. For the price of a single night you expect no visible wear or tear.

The room was lovely and had plenty of space for all four of us, which was perfect since my son is as tall as me at 6 ft. The breakfast was good, but it would have been nicer if the server had offered me toast with the cooked breakfast or asked whether I wanted white or brown bread when I asked; a small detail that would have made it much better.
