“Enjoyable one night stay.”
The staff, facilities, and food were good, but there was loud music locally, which was not the hotel’s fault.

The rooms are relatively old. The floor creaked, which echoed from the floor‑plan room.

We especially liked the garden with the large pool. The hotel is well kept, and the old architectural style keeps the rooms pleasantly cool. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was average and definitely not what you expect from a 5‑star place. Breakfast was limited because of the low season. The jam came in a plastic container and only bottled tea was offered instead of loose tea leaves – we expected higher quality. Loud music is played near the hotel, and without earplugs it was hard to sleep.

The pool is nice and the staff are friendly, but the noise from the nearby club is really loud in the evening and continues until 2–3 am every night; our sleep quality was so poor that it was a huge disappointment. The AC unit is quite old and makes more noise. The bathroom is old and has water marks everywhere. The food is okay but the prices are high – more expensive than nice restaurants outside. Because there are no good food options nearby, especially in the evening, we decided to eat mostly at the hotel, but the value for money is low. The gym space can only accommodate one person at a time, has no window, and feels like walking into a sauna closet.

A haven of peace in an old colonial house. The kindness of the staff and the charm of the hotel. Perhaps reconsider the restaurant price list.
