This is a genuine historic château surrounded by a wonderful park, with a large parking area among trees. The house is well kept and offers interesting antiques that decorate the interior. Classical music plays in the common rooms on the first floor, and the back yard has armchairs with tables overlooking a pond with swans. The pool was already closed. The host is hospitable and kind, speaks English. The room is spacious, clean, and has a comfortable bed. The large bathroom comes with robes. Sleeping was comfortable. Breakfast, like most French hotels, was sparse—just coffee and a croissant; we missed enough eggs or ham for our sandwich, but we’re used to hearty breakfasts.
